While the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and its accompanying game reveals, announcements and trailers are usually the event’s trademarks, there’s a few bad to go with the barrel of awesome juice every June.
For every game announcement that rocks us off our seats, there’s bound to be a 10-minute segment where we’re bored out of our minds. Not only that, but there’s a lot of scripted trailers that seem to be too good to be true from time to time (usually, it is!). In this week’s Top 5 Tuesday video, we take a look at the five things we hope doesn’t happen in any of this year’s E3 2017 press conferences.
Saw it? Agree with our top five or is there something we missed? What would be your top five things that you hope won’t happen at this year’s E3?
Don’t forget to check back this coming weekend for everything E3! Not only will we be covering every major press conference and news, but PSLS will be on the show floor to brave the crowd and get our impressions in on the latest games.

E3 2017 Third-Party Press Conferences Preview
-
Bethesda
What Will Appear: With Prey already released, Bethesda doesn't have a ton of upcoming games announced. Expect to see Quake Champions, though, and possibly even console version plans if PlayStation gamers are lucky. Also, expect to see The Elder Scrolls Online get some screen time as its Morrowind expansion releases the week before the press conference.

Bethesda
What's Rumored to Appear: As the image shows, a brand new Wolfenstein was teased during Bethesda's E3 2016 press conference. It's supposedly called The New Colossus, and will be MachineGames' follow-up to The New Order. A follow-up to Tango Gameworks' The Evil Within is also a likely announcement.

Bethesda
What We Hope to See: It's way too soon for a DOOM sequel to be announced, but a small-scale expansion (similar to Wolfenstein's The Old Blood) would be an awesome way to make the wait less painful.
-
EA
What Will Appear: It's no secret that the major focus will be on Star Wars Battlefront II, which will be EA's biggest title for the holiday season. Expect it to be pushed hard. Other expected games will be the gorgeous indie game Fe, and the litany of sports titles that EA has in development each year.

EA
What's Rumored to Appear: It's known that BioWare is working on a new IP, so expect that to be unveiled during E3. Rumors indicate it'll be similar to Destiny, as it'll feature MMO elements to hook in players. It's also about time to see more of Amy Hennig & Visceral's Star Wars game.

EA
What We Hope to See: This is very unlikely since EA seems to be stubborn about making NBA Live relevant again, but the studio should be attempting to make a different type of basketball game. There's no stellar arcade b-ball game on the market, so an NBA Street comeback would make a lot of sense and fulfill a need in the marketplace.
-
Ubisoft
What Will Appear: Don't expect a ton of surprises from Ubisoft this year, as they announced most of what they'll show already. Expect to see more South Park, a gameplay demo of Far Cry 5, and the debut of The Crew 2: Livin' La Vida Loca (I may have made up the subtitle for that last one). Oh, and a new Assassin's Creed title.

Ubisoft
What's Rumored to Appear: The only rumor than the absolutely insane Rabbids and Mario crossover that is in the works is that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is finally happening. There's speculation that it could be a Nintendo Switch exclusive, which would be a tremendous get for Nintendo, and further cement their partnership with Ubisoft.

Ubisoft
What We Hope to See: RedLynx's Trials series has been in a strange place lately. Fusion was a solid sequel, but the new mechanics it tried to add in (tricks) didn't turn out to be a success, and Trials of the Blood Dragon was a crossover that sadly wasn't as good as either of the games that it was trying to replicate. I think a back to basics approach would be the best fit for the studio, and a Trials Evolution sequel that included all of the original game would be a treat for gamers.
