Lately, I’ve really started noticing the amount of quality PSN games flowing in. Every week there is at least 1 new game and in many cases 2 or more, and they’re not just garbage games that are trying to increase the overall store content level. These are some pretty top notch and extremely fun games. Not only are they fun, they are all extremely different. Just in the last month we’ve got:
- Crash Commando, a 2D fast-paced shooter
- Cuboid, a 3D puzzle game
- Magic Ball, a 3D version of Break Out with a comedic twist
- Penny Arcade, a pretty funny RPG
- GTi Club, a wacky racer
That’s just naming a few!
Now the PSN has had some high quality PSN games for quite some time Super Stardust HD, Blast Factor, Pain, Wipeout HD and High Velocity Bowling. Not to mention full game releases Warhawk, Socom, Grand Turismo 5 Prologue and Burnout Paradise. Those alone have kept me busy for many many hours and I still go back and check them out form time to time.
Every week I find myself more and more interested in the new store content. I have bought at least one new game every week for quite some time now. And for $10 it is very hard to ignore them. Maybe they all aren’t 10/10 or even 9/10, but for $10 if I can get 5 – 10 hours of fun I really can not complain. I have well over 20 PSN games and it is growing at an alarming rate. I have finally come to the realization that I am addicted to these fun cheap goofy games and I am loving it. And with games like Fat Princess, Rag Doll Kung Fu, Flower & Savage Moon coming soon and those are just the ones we have heard of. With that lineup of games I can expect my addiction to keep on going for a long time, and you know what I am just fine with that.
