With the release of the PSPgo only a few days away, Sony has prepared an onslaught of digital goodness to accompany the release of the handheld. Since the PSPgo does not include a physical format, unlike it’s predecessor, which used the oft-forgotten UMD format, all of the PSPgo’s games will come through the PSN Store.
According to Sony, by Thursday, 16,000 pieces of digital content will be available on the PSN Store. This includes 2,300 movies, 13,300 TV shows and 225 downloadable games, which will be comprised of full PSP titles, PSN exclusives, UMD titles and Minis. Notable PSPgo games include Gran Turismo, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny and God of War: Chains of Olympus.
Sony has not stated what the roll out will be in other territories, but expect a similar onslaught of digital goodness. Be sure to stick with PlayStation LifeStyle, as we’ll be bringing you are PSPgo Launch Center, which will feature everything you need to know about Sony’s newest handheld!
