Those of you that have been patiently waiting six long years for another Max Payne game are in for a heap of disappointment (about as disappointing as the abysmal Max Payne Movie starring Mark Whalberg).
Originally slated for a winter release word came out of the Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal results that it is instead slated for release sometime in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010 which is roughly August 1st through October 31st, 2010.
Besides this news we also get a layout of Take Two’s other major releases for 2010. Here’s what they had to say:
Take-Two noted that it has a strong pipeline of titles that remain on plan for launch in 2010, including BioShock 2, Mafia II, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption. BioShock 2 is on target for a global release on February 9, 2010, and Red Dead Redemption is planned for April 27, 2010. Mafia II is scheduled to follow during the first half of calendar 2010.
So even though Max Payne had gotten pushed to late in the year it looks like we will be getting our hands on some other quality titles before then.
