Today, Ubisoft has revealed development on Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2, the sequel to the original 2009 title which wowed gamers across the world. The first game centered on the air battles between private military companies and entire nations.
H.A.W.X. 2, developed again by Ubisoft’s Bucharest studio, places you again in the role of an “elite aerial soldier” in control of “the world’s most technologically advanced aircraft.” Exciting, right? Bogdan Bridinel, creative director over at Ubisoft, shared his feelings on the announcement:
“With over one million units sold worldwide, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. has become a very successful brand for Ubisoft.
“This new H.A.W.X. game is directly inspired by Tom Clancy’s books, and it will enable fans to once again experience the excitement and intensity that established H.A.W.X. as a successful brand.”
Unfortunately, Ubisoft was quite vague about the announcement. Except for a general timeframe of this fall, no solid release date was given. Certainly, we should see a lot of this game at this year’s E3 convention. Until then, we’ll just have to eagerly wait for each new tidbit of information that comes out.
