Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days was currently scheduled for an August 24th release in North America and a August 27th release throughout European territories. You may want to read the last sentence again as it indeed was scheduled for that date. Now, Square Enix and IO Interactive have confirmed the game will be shipped earlier than expected.
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will now be releasing a week earlier than its previous August 24th release date. The action-shooter will be releasing in North America on August 17th while Europe will receive the title 3 days later on the 20th.
General Manager of IO Interactive, Niels Jørgensen had this to say on the matter:
The team has worked hard to deliver a game that’s different from the current trend of third-person shooters and we’re so pleased to be able to share it with the world ahead of schedule.
With development now complete, why keep people waiting any longer? We want to let gamers experience the game we’ve created and get them online betraying their friends in Fragile Alliance, so we have decided to bring the release date forward by one week.
