Despite below-average reviews, the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed went on to become the best-selling Star Wars game ever. Executive Producer and writer of the series, Haden Blackman, has always been a figure-head for the series, appearing in non-stop interviews and in magazines talking about his passion for the Star Wars franchise and his love Starkiller and The Force Unleashed series. As of today though, Haden’s passion is going to be looking elsewhere, as he has resigned from LucasArts after being with the company for over a decade. The series has lost a ‘Master Jedi’ and it wasn’t those pesky Sith’s fault this time.
Confirming the news to IGN this morning, Haden Blackman has decided to resigned after working for LucasArts for 13 years, after working on SW: TFU & II, Galaxies, and Commander. When asked why he did, Haden said it that it just time to move on.
“I’ve had a fantastic time working with the team at Lucasfilm and am really grateful for their ongoing support. While the decision to leave LucasArts did not happen overnight or come easily, I really feel that now is the best time for me to move on and explore new creative challenges and I look forward to the next phase of my career.”
We here at PlayStation LifeStyle wish Haden the best of look pertaining to his future endeavors. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is still going to be released on October 26th and a developer at LucasArts says that this will in no shape or form impact the games final months of development.
