I’m giving you advanced notice – In a little over a week from now your calendar will need to be clear. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) wants you to try out their latest tech: The Augmented Reaction Suit (ARS). There is only one catch — Just make sure you save the world in the process.
A demo of Vanquish is coming soon…it hits the US PSN on August 31st. Get ready to take control of Sam Gideon, as he field tests his ARS for the first time in a demo entitled “Vanquish Official Demo – Velocity Attack” Included in the demo will be a prologue sequence, a boss fight against Argos, and the ability to try out the normal and casual difficulty settings. If the on-screen mayhem seen in the trailer had you worried fear not – The auto aim feature will be available for the casual difficulty setting only. And if you’re not in the US, no worries — DARPA still needs you. Expect your ARS to be ready on September 1st in Europe and September 2nd in Japan.
The more I look at the tech on this system, The ARS suit-up process and The Battlefield Logic Adaptable Electronic Weapon System (BLADE) I can’t help but wonder if this is Stark Industries Technology. If it’s not, I can tell you that Tony definitely has his eye on it…
