It’s the sort of thing we’ve come to expect from Sony Online Entertainment’s two big MMOs, considering both DC Universe Online and The Agency have been in a state constant release limbo since 2007. But with a release date penned in for the 2nd of November for their superhero MMO DC Universe Online, we really thought SOE meant it this time. However, SOE have confirmed today that DCUO will instead release in early 2011.
It’s not all bad news, though. SOE also confirmed that the DCUO beta will be starting as early as next week. If you’re in North America and preorder before November 15, 2010, you’re guaranteed to get in the beta. Preorders after November 15 will give you access to a “special beta ending event” in the week before launch.
To finish off the DCUO news for today, SOE confirmed that there will also be a collector’s edition version on PlayStation 3 which will include a Jim Lee Batman Statue, art book, DC Legends comic and a poster drawn by Jim Lee.
