Yesterday, Sony announced that the PlayStation Portable’s latest firmware update, version 6.35, would be coming soon, laying the groundwork for a music streaming service on the handheld. Today, the update has gone live.
Other than the promise of the cloud-based music service, the update seems to be lacking. The only noticeable change is a “Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity” logo in the PSP’s music menu, which leads to a web page saying “coming soon”.
The Media Go application for managing PSP DLC on your computer will also be updated with enhancements to the user interface and advanced photo editing tools.
We’ll be sure to update you with any further updates caused by the new firmware – if any. Have you spotted anything new? Let us know in the comments below.
