For far too long, Home has been criticized for a lack of content. Sure, when it first went to open beta it was lacking, but since then there has been countless updates, and home spaces added – not to mention plenty of mini games. Late in 2009, Sony took Home to a whole new level with Sodium One. This futuristic vehicle combat game, combined not only action packed gaming, but also wrapped it in a very expansive social gaming lounge. Well, not satisfied with simply one massive social game in Home, Sony is doing it again.
Releasing tomorrow, December 2nd, will be Novus Prime, a free-to-play space combat game. Using cutting edge weaponry, you and up to three other players will be sent on space missions fighting off countless foes. To aid in battle, you can purchase new ships, weapons, and upgrades from the workshop in order to customize your fighters style and gear. You also will be able to take your avatar out into zero-g and defend your space station’s hull against waves of parasitic crawlers that will try and drill through it. As an added incentive, if you’re one of the top pilots you will have a chance to get a fully animated officers jacket.
So check out the trailer below, and get off of your virtual couch, and join the good fight.
