Amazon has always had great sales online for gamers, and occasionally it’s a source of new information that seems to get out before anywhere else. They may know something Sucker Punch’s electrifying sequel, if they are to be believed as well.
Listed on Amazon, a new inFamous 2 “Hero Edition” seems to have been spotted. But once something goes on the internet, it’s never taken down. The Examiner found it and was quick enough to grab a Google cache the webpage before it was quickly taken down. This is the first time any special or collector’s edition have been mentioned for the game so you can imagine that Sony wanted to give it a better reveal. Oh well. Gamers love information, so here is what is said to come with the $99.99 price tag.
inFAMOUS 2 is the second chapter in the best-selling franchise for the PS3. This immersive open world adventure offers a powerful, emotional, and visceral take on being a super hero. Blamed for the destruction of Empire City, Cole must make a dramatic journey to discover his full super-powered potential. inFAMOUS 2 Hero Edition includes exclusive limited edition 8.5″ Cole MacGrath statue, Replica Cole MacGrath sling pack, Super voucher that gives access to in game content – including the Lightning Hook Power, Electrocution Grenade Power, Kessler Skin, and 24K Gold Amp weapon variant, Mini inFAMOUS #1 comic from DC Comics, and the Official inFAMOUS 2 soundtrack.
That’s…a lot of stuff. Amazon also pegs the game with an incredibly skeptical May 24th release date, but you shouldn’t get your hopes up on that. While it is two years exactly to the original title’s release of May 26th (it was released on the same Tuesday, so it counts), now it is just a placeholder that makes sense.
