Fast on the heels of Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed comes the next installment of the long running racing franchise. Have you got the need?
Need for Speed: The Run looks to change things up a bit in the racing genre by aiming to have a meaningful story. While “Go faster than the other guys” has always been sufficient motivation in this type of game, EA Black Box is trying to take a different approach. Check out the teaser just released:
From EA’s official description:
It’s called The Run. An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York. No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world’s most notorious drivers on the country’s most dangerous roads.”
What’s more exciting though, is that The Run will be utilizing DICE’s new Frostbite 2 engine, the same one that will be powering Battlefield 3. The game looks to be driving into store shelves this November, so be sure to stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle to hear all about it.
