Unlike games that just have a single storyline, games like L.A. Noire are very easy to support with DLC. Rockstar can make as many stand-alone cases as they’d like without having to worry about making them fit in within the story. L.A. Noire had plenty of content when it released, but without much replay value, DLC could be a major selling point of the title.
Rockstar is selling a single arson case called “Nicholson Electroplating.” The case is based on the real-life explosion of the O’Conner Electro-plating in 1947. The DLC will cost $3.99, or you have until June 21st to buy the L.A.Noire Rockstar Pass on PSN for $9.99, which will give you access to all future L.A. Noire DLC. The case description is as follows:
At 9.45 in the morning, a thunderous explosion rocks Los Angeles. City blocks are flattened and smoke and ash fill the air. Detectives Phelps and Biggs race to the site of the former Nicholson Electroplating plant to find a pile of unanswered questions. What caused the explosion? What were Nicholson’s employees working on? And where are chief chemist Dr Harold McLellan and his mysterious female assistant?
This was previously included with some pre-orders of the title, and was even found purchasable online for ridiculous prices. Now you won't have to pay an arm and a leg to enjoy a little more L.A. Noire action.
