November is packed with high profile games. Not only is Uncharted 3 and Modern Warfare 3 releasing in November, but also Rayman Origins, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, and the Metal Gear Solid Collection. On top of all that, Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is planning to release on November 11th after 3 years of development. Unfortunately, any gamers that were hoping to get their hands on a demo before the release date will be disappointed.
Craig Lafferty, lead producer for the game, gave an interview to Gameplanet. The interview was back during E3, but Gameplanet just recently released the video. During the interview, Lafferty confirmed that there will not be a demo for Skyrim. To quote Lafferty directly,
For a game of this size and complexity it’s really hard to do a demo that represents the game truly, and it would be a gigantic demo, so we won’t be doing a demo.
Some fans might be upset about not getting a demo, but it’s reasonable that the developers don’t want to give gamers the wrong impression about their game. Below is the full interview.
