El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming ever so close to it’s release this month on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Right now, the game will only be releasing on these two platforms but future spin-offs might branch out to other, newer platforms such as the PlayStation Vita.
Speaking with Destructoid, Ignition director of business development Shabe Bettenhausen stated that the PlayStation Vita and Wii U would be a great place for a spinoff or port.
I think first we’ll probably do more of spin-offs… whether that’s DLC, I think it might be cool to port this to Wii U or Vita maybe.
In the same conversation, Shane revealed that El Shaddai originally featured a female protagonist in early stages of development and that she may be used as the heroine in a future spinoff.
