I know what some of you might be thinking. This is a video games website, so what am I doing posting about an upcoming anime? Well, Persona 4 was a widely popular role-playing game for the PlayStation 2 that has now spawned an anime based off of it, so in a way it is gaming related, so there! In fact, Sentai Filmworks and The Anime News Network, have put up the very first episode, subtitled, and free for your viewing pleasure.
Persona 4: The Animation is being developed by AIC A.S.T.A. and follows the exploits of Yu Narukami and his classmates as they work to solve a string of mysterious murders. The anime will bring over most of the main voice actors from the game, which is great for people like me who really enjoyed the voice work from the game.
The anime will be coming stateside next year on Blu-ray but is currently airing in Japan. While episode 1 is free, 2 through 25 will be available registered members of the Anime News Network.
