Tecmo’s latest hack & slash ninja action game, Ninja Gaiden III, finally has a more solid release time frame. Team Ninja lead Yosuke Hayashi announced an event yesterday that the game would be arriving for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March of 2012 at a hands-on event in San Francisco, California.
The Ninja Gaiden franchise and PlayStation have had a pretty cozy relationship this generation. Ninja Gaiden Sigma, an up-scaled / reworked version of the Xbox original came exclusively to Sony’s home console in 2007. The sequel, Ninja Gaiden II, came to PlayStation 3 after a brief period of exclusivity to the Xbox 360 with an exclusive playable character.
It looks like all you Ninjitsu fans who want to play Ryu Hayabusa’s latest adventure with a Dualshock 3 won’t have to wait. Ninja Gaiden III should be released for all platforms at the same time. Here’s hoping Team Ninja have some sort of exclusive treat for PS3 owners, if only to celebrate tradition!
