THQ has released a new trailer for upcoming action/adventure title Darksiders II. The trailer tells the story of Death and his influence on humanity over the years.
The trailer shows that Death has been with humanity from the beginning and that he walked with gods and shaped our beliefs (similar to our editorial on mankind’s obsession with the apocalypse). The trailer then shows how he’s been depicted over the years: an executioner, a lone rider on a pale horse, a soldier on a battlefield, and a criminal in the shadows. The trailer says he’s turned battlefields into burial grounds and has witnessed every atrocity and every passing. He’s left his mark in the strife, wars, and revolutions of mankind. The trailer closes by saying that in the end, his is the last face you’ll see.

Darksiders II is currently scheduled to release in Summer 2012 for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC and. A Wii U version is also in development.
