The PlayStation Vita launch has gone off pretty successfully, as is evident by its strong launch lineup and reviews. However, nothing is perfect, as we are clearly seeing with the pulling of the highly-anticipated Facebook app earlier. Now, an actual game, or its demo at least, has been pulled from the European store as well.
Some time after we contacted Sony regarding a possible problem with the Unit 13 demo that crashed Vitas, it seems they have removed said demo from the PS Vita store. The PlayStation Europe blog twitter account stated thusly:
You may have noticed that the Unit 13 demo has been removed from PS Store. We are working to reinstate it as soon as possible.
Considering the various issues with the demo, such as audio cutting out and a failure to launch other applications once quitting out from Unit 13, it looks like the developers at Zipper Interactive have their work cut out for them if they want to get the demo for their promising shooter back on the front lines. While the demo has been cut in Europe, it is still available in the States, but there is no telling for how long.
