Capcom has confirmed more downloadable content for Dragon’s Dogma is on the way.
In speaking with 4Gamer (via Andriasang), director Hideaki Itsuno stated the action role-playing game will offer more DLC packs in the near future:
I’m sure many have already cleared the game, but for Dragon’s Dogma, we’re continuing to prepare new play elements. It would be best if you held on to the game for a bit.
Regarding Dragon’s Dogma’s commercial success thus far (over one million units shipped in Japan), Itsuno stated that the domestic reaction was apparently better than expected, with Capcom eager to see more success come into fruition due to the ambitious title.
He also joked that Dragon’s Dogma is probably the most commercially successful game he’s worked on; but, of course, that isn’t true with the developer directing the second, third and fourth installments for the iconic Devil May Cry franchise.
As for a potential successor to Dragon’s Dogma, he stressed he would like to develop “the next title,” but can only do so if fan support is received.
