Kojima Productions have been teasing “industry shocking” news at their 25th anniversary event in Japan, and wow, they weren’t kidding. Hideo Kojima himself stepped on stage to debut a Metal Gear Solid movie, an online Metal Gear Solid Social Ops, and the ground-breaking new Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.
Based on preliminary information trickling out of the event, is that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is a visually breathtaking open world Metal Gear Solid game running on the Fox Engine. Many in attendance were left stunned, proclaiming that this is Metal Gear, “but the scale and atmosphere was… Wow”. Others are claiming that this can’t be current generation technology.
