Level-5 Interested in Teaming up With Studio Ghibli Again for Castle in the Sky Game

There’s no doubt that Studio Ghibli has done a stellar job on the art design of Level-5’s upcoming RPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, so it should hardly come as a shock to hear that the game developer would be interested in working with them again.

During a pre-TGS group interview, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino expressed his interest in working with Studio Ghibli again, saying, “If there is a potential opportunity to work with them again, yes, we’d like to work on some joint projects with them in the future – if there is, of course, a possibility.”

Hino then expressed his desire in working on turning one of the studio’s films into a game. When asked by Joystiq which Studio Ghibli film they’d like to adapt, he said Castle in the Sky.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is set to launch in North America this coming January exclusively for the PS3.
