PSP’s Little Battlers Pretty Big on Sales Charts – Media Create

The 3DS, PS3, and PSP continue to juggle around the claim to the top-selling piece of software in Japan. Last week, it was the DS RPG Bravely Default holding the honor, while other recent chart-toppers have included Resident Evil 6, Final Fantasy III, and SD Gundam G Generation: Overworld. This week, it’s Little Battlers eXperience W for PSP that takes the crown. The game was also released on the Vita with some visual improvements, but the PSP version outsold it by almost 5-to-1 (77,457 versus 16,842). Here’s the top 20, via Media Create:

Last week, the PSV hit an all-time low with 6,134 units sold. This week, its recovery was minimal, only selling a few hundred more. When the next charts roll out next week, there won’t be an improvement, as the only software releases are a test prep course and Street Fighter X Tekken. After that, the next Vita game releases don’t happen until November 15th. Vita might be in for a rough holiday season in Japan. Full hardware chart here:
