Assassin’s Creed Movie Reportedly Coming as Soon as Next Year

It looks like Ubisoft is eager to get the Assassin’s Creed film shot and up on the big screen, as a recent report indicates that it may be done in time for a 2013 release.

In an interview with GamesIndustry, Geoffroy Sardin, Ubisoft’s chief sales and marketing officer, spoke about the film’s impending release in addition to their plans to push the Assassin’s Creed brand far beyond just games and film.

Another thing that is very important for the lifecycle is the transmedia offer. All the figurines, the books, the publishing, and we have a movie in the next coming year. So it’s not only about games, we are talking about a global brand, and this is the life cycle management we want to set up now.

I hope you’re not sick of the time-travelling franchise just yet, as it’s clear that Ubi plans to jam as much Assassin’s Creed down our throats as they possibly can in the coming years.

Coming off of Assassin’s Creed III, do you find yourself wanting more of the universe, or are you ready to move on? Let us know in the comments below.
