Ubisoft Motion Pictures will be working with New Regency on the upcoming Splinter Cell movie that will star Tom Hardy.
According to a report from Variety, Jean-Julien Baronnet, the CEO of Ubi’s film division, decided to go with New Regency because of the creative freedom that comes with the partnership.
“For Ubisoft Motion Pictures, creative control is key and New Regency shares our commitment to respecting the creative freedom of our team,” Baronnet explained. “Their ability to produce both blockbusters and intriguing indie hits is an ideal fit for the Splinter Cell franchise.”
It was also revealed earlier this year that Ubisoft will be working with New Regency on an Assassin’s Creed film which will star Michael Fassbender.
