Update: There were quite a few reader comments on Rockstar’s website about the new screenshots today, some asking if they were possibly from the PS4 because they looked so good. In response to these questions, Rockstar pinned this response to the top of the comments:
To @icharyd and others who are asking, these screens are from the current generation of consoles.
Original Story: If you’re like me and were depressed over the fact that Rockstar Games missed their annual showing at PAX East, a new batch of Grand Theft Auto V screenshots may be the cheer you need to snap you out of the funk. This latest set of ten screenshots give us a glimpse at where we’ll be finding ourselves when we’re finally set loose in Los Santos—namely, the streets, the sky, and under the sea.
