In one of the best (worst?) ways ever to hype a game and its features, James Marsden, Managing Director at FuturLab, talked about the PlayStation Vita versions two “highly requested features” for Velocity Ultra – touch screen teleporting and bombs on the right analog stick – by saying that they “don’t really work very well in our opinion, but you wanted them, so we put them in so you can make up your own mind.”
The overall Velocity experience has been upgraded in Ultra, which has a redesigned UI, giving you more options in the menus, and the music now fades out before a new track starts. On top of this, you can expect a Platinum trophy, global online leaderboards, and Elite Lounge.
Velocity Ultra is set to release on May 15th in both North America and Europe, with the price still undecided, and you can check out two trailers for the game below:
