Ken Levine Talking to Sony and 2K About BioShock Vita, “Trying to Make a Match”

Way, way, way back in June 2011, Ken Levine announced an original BioShock game for the PlayStation Vita. So far, development of the title has yet to begin.

Last time we heard about the project was February, when Levine said: “I’ve got my fingers crossed that that’s going to happen because it’s something I want to do, but until somebody starts signing the checks, there’s nothing I can do.”

Sadly, it doesn’t seem like much progress has been made since then, with Levine now tweeting:

I talked to both Sony and 2k about it yesterday. Trying to make a match.

Interestingly, Shahid Ahmad, SCEE’s Senior Business Development Manager, responsible for bringing content to PlayStation devices, and the guy who teased “an amazing big title coming to Vita”, replied to the Tweet asking Levine to contact him. On the one hand, it shows that communication at Sony could be better, but on the other hand, it could be a new chance for the game to become real. It also confirms that the ‘big’ Vita title is not BioShock. Sadly, when someone said that Shahid’s tweet meant big things were going to happen, he replied ” if only it was that easy. :-)”.
