Update: As promised, the update is now live.
If you’re an experienced PlayStation owner, you’re probably rather used to firmware updates that do nothing immediately noticeable, and claim to improve software stability (but also generally plug security holes). If you’re new to the whole thing, here’s a little treat – Sony has announced that the PS Vita is set to get another firmware update, version 2.61.
PlayStation tweeted:
PS Vita system update 2.61 is coming soon, system software stability during use of some features has been improved
Remember – certain features like accessing the PlayStation Store and online gaming require you to be running the latest update, so make sure you plan ahead if you have limited time.
