While it won’t fulfill its original September 2013 release window in all territories, Curve Studios has announced that the Lone Survivor Director’s Cut on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (with Cross Buy!) will release on September 25th in Europe, with a North America release to follow in the next two weeks.
Inside the Director’s Cut you’ll find a new lighting system along with hundreds of tweaks and changes that include new dialogue, over twenty new items, new ending, trophies, and secrets.
Jasper Byrne, Developer on Lone Survivor, talked about the game on PlayStation:
It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to release one of my games on a console, and it’s been amazing to watch it coming together in the last few months. Lone Survivor on the PlayStation has gone from a simple port to nearly a completely new game that I’m very proud of.
Jason Perkins, Managing Director at Curve Digital, had this to say:
Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut isn’t simply a console port but a completely reworked version of Jasper’s original game. It’s been very interesting watch the game grow in all sorts of ways since we started working with Jasper, and when it comes to new content this game has been our biggest project yet.
