A group of ex-Call of Duty developers have set up a new studio called Reload Studios LLC, and they’re already busy with projects.
Reload Studios is managed by four former Infinity Ward employees including James Chung, Taehoon Oh, Pete Blumel, and Hougant Chen. Oh has worked on six Call of Duty titles over a decade, Blumel previously worked on Modern Warfare and Ghost games, and Chen’s portfolio includes work on Homefront alongside the Call of Duty franchise. The group has also brought on board Nik Ranieri, an ex-Disney animator.
So far, the studio has twelve employees in total, and two advisers; Zachary Norman of textPlus, and Alexander Krivicich of Buffalo Studios.
Some un-released press releases on the studio’s official website point towards virtual reality projects. IGN reports that the team is working on a first-person shooter for the new generation of consoles alongside VR and mobile projects.
