We previously reported that Flying Wild Hog’s title Shadow Warrior will release in late September this year for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We can now confirm that the game will be released on September 26. Devolver Digital is releasing the game simultaneously with Bandai Namco Europe.
We’re told that the title will have “high quality reshaped graphics” for both new consoles alongside exclusive content which includes a new arena mode, a new campaign, and exclusive weapons.
Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker has previously said that they were “thrilled” to bring the game to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One following fan requests. The publisher also described Shadow Warrior as “a bold new vision of the 1997 cult classic, reimagined with a blend of modern design, inventive combat mechanics, and a contemporary retelling of Lo Wang’s comical rise to legend.”
