Developer 4J Studios has confirmed that Minecraft’s PlayStation 4 iteration is closer than ever to being launched on the console. The hit sandbox building/exploration title has been handed over to Sony for final testing before release.
We’ve handed Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition over to Sony for final test!
Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition will support the DualShock 4 touchpad, save game transfers from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and will bring “a bunch of Sony-specific DLC coming soon after release.”
Those who already own the game on the PlayStation 3 will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 4 version for $5. A launch date has not been revealed yet.
