Gearbox Will Consider Project Morpheus Support Once It Becomes a Commercial Platform

At an event last week to show off their upcoming game Battleborn, Gearbox President Randy Pitchford held a Q&A attended by Game Informer, where he revealed that they have dev kits for both Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift. While they’ve been “playing with the hardware,” Randy added that “we don’t have any official support announced for that yet.”

In fact, it could be some time before Gearbox gets behind either virtual reality device, as they’re waiting to see how they perform commercially:

When these things become commercial platforms, that will be a time for us to consider what the commercial viability is. But we’ve been playing with the technology. There’s a few different fronts there, not just the ones you’ve heard about. It’s exciting.

Would you want to see a future Borderlands game support virtual reality?
