When we spoke with Miles Tost of CD Projekt Red last year, he revealed that “there are no plans to continue Geralt’s story after we release The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” and once development wrapped on that game, they’d move on to Cyberpunk 2077.
Well, with The Witcher 3 delayed until May 2015, Head of Marketing and Public Relations Michal Platkow-Gilewski recently spoke with GameSpot, revealing that further details about Cyberpunk 2077 are on hold until their big RPG is complete:
In short, communication-wise, we are now focusing entirely on The Witcher: Wild Hunt. Everyone is working crazy hard to give gamers around the world an RPG to remember. Worry not, Cyberpunk 2077 is okay, its time will come.
While a console release has yet to be confirmed, it’s expected Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
