Following the last firmware update, 6.60, back in August 2011, Sony has released firmware update 6.61 for the PlayStation Portable today, and it’s a mandatory one if you wish to use the PlayStation Network.
Taking up 31MB, here’s the obligatory patch note:
System software stability during use of some features has been improved
If you’d like to download the update from your computer, head to the US or UK PlayStation site.
As a reminder, the PSN will be down today for a few hours, and if you live in North America, some PSP games are on sale through the PlayStation Store this week.
