The VOTE allows you, the PSLS community, to cast your vote and determine once and for all which choice is definitively better. This is for all the marbles, and any other voting sort of analogies that you can think of. Feel free to discuss your choice in the comments below, but remember to keep it civil. We’ll have new votes every Wednesday, with results from the prior week posted at that time, so be sure to check back and make your voice heard.
In last week’s VOTE, we asked you if it was narrative or challenge that kept you pushing through a game. 33% of people crave that challenge that difficult games offer, while 67% of you keep going through a game for the story that is being told, and to unlock those mysteries. Whichever one you prefer more, they are not mutually exclusive, and great games tend to have a bit of both. Make sure to check out our feature tackling difficult games and their place in the industry.
This week we’re heading in a more lighthearted direction. We avoided playing any April Fools’ Day jokes ourselves, opting instead to gather the best ones for this year, and then see which gaming related April Fool’s Day prank has been your favorite over the years. Was it one of EGM’s excellent jokes they pulled year after year? Perhaps it was our own Metal Gear Solid 4 trophy list prank that we trumped up more than a year before the actual trophy patch was even announced (Yeah, that one even got me before I was a writer for PSLS)? Or maybe it’s another one that we don’t have listed? Vote for your favorite gaming April Fools’ prank and discuss the greatest among them in the comments below. Cast your VOTE!
Check back during the week to see how your choice is stacking up. Have any suggestions for future polls? Email me, tweet me, or hit us up on Twitter @PSLifeStyle, and don't forget to vote each Wednesday.
