Formed at the end of 2014 by Assassin’s Creed Creator Patrice Désilets, Panache Digital Games announced Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey today.
Undated and not given any target platforms, Ancestors is a third-person action-adventure survival episodic game. During each episode, Panache wants players to relive the greatest moments of mankind with a documentary twist. “Our civilization is one idea away from extinction… or evolution,” the tease concludes.
Eurogamer also uploaded the off-screen teaser trailer for Ancestors, which Désilets debuted at the Reboot Develop 2015 conference and highlights various moments in human history:
Désilets also touched upon the ongoing legal dispute with Ubisoft, revealing that he’s still fighting to get 1666: Amsterdam back:
I have nothing against Ubisoft the company. I have nothing against the people at Ubisoft that are making those amazing games. I have a business issue. Without Ubisoft and the huge teams they gave me, I would not be here. I am happy – this is first time I’ve said it.
Expect more information on Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey throughout the year.
