Twin-Stick Shooter Assault Android Cactus Releases This Summer On PS4, PS Vita

Currently available in Steam Early Access, developer Witch Beam announced today that “arcade style twin-stick shooter” Assault Android Cactus is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, and PC in Summer 2015. No cross-buy details were given, but it is priced at $14.99.

Set in a sci-fi universe, Assault Android Cactus includes dynamic levels that continuously introduce new elements; environments that contract, expand, and fall out from beneath your feet while you fight waves of enemies; eight playable androids, each with their own unique primary and secondary weapons; single player; and up to four player local co-op, which is supported across every game mode by scaling the intensity to match the number of players.

Designer Sanatana Mishra talked about Assault Android Cactus:

The three of us have a background working at major games studios, Jeff even received a BAFTA for his incredible soundtrack work but we’ve never created something that was truly ours. Assault Android Cactus is our opportunity to create something we are genuinely passionate about, drawing on the combined wisdom of our varied development history.

The development team at Witch Beam includes people who worked on L.A. Noire, Alien: Isolation, Need for Speed, and Hand of Fate.
