Showing why it’s the top-selling NBA video game simulation series since 2008, NBA 2K16 has shipped over four million copies worldwide in the first week of release, 2K announced today.
Along with its commercial success and critical praise, NBA 2K16 also saw digital sales double compared to NBA 2K15, while the number of games played online nearly tripled when compared to last year’s title.
Greg Thomas, President of developer Visual Concepts, talked about the strong launch:
