Running from October 2 – 5 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, codes for the Need for Speed Closed Beta have begun going out in North America, Europe, and Asia, developer Ghost Games announced today.
There is a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the beta, meaning you aren’t allowed to stream, capture screenshots, or even talk about the test outside of the forums:
#NeedforSpeed beta invites are being sent out. Please be aware of the closed nature of the beta with no capture allowed.

Ghost Games adds, “We’re currently investigating an issue where a small number of users received codes for Xbox One instead of PS4. More info as we get it.”
At about 8am PT/11am ET, they said, “In the next couple of hours we’ll be sending another wave of Closed Beta invites out. Please keep your eye on your inbox.”
Roughly a 19GB download, and only available in English, the Need for Speed beta is “is purely a technical test of the infrastructure prior to the release of the full game.”
The full Need for Speed games launches on November 3 in North America and November 5 in Europe for PS4 and XB1.
