With FIFA 16 claiming first place for a second straight week, new release LEGO Dimensions had to settle for #2 overall.
Comparing the launch weeks of the three recently released toys-to-life titles, LEGO Dimensions is “comfortably” ahead of both Disney Infinity 3.0 and Skylanders SuperChargers. In fact, LEGO Dimensions saw the third best launch week in the history of the toys-to-life genre, placing behind Skylanders Giants and Skylanders Swap Force.
Looking at other new releases, NBA 2K16 debuted at #3, saw week 1 sales rise by more than 53% compared to NBA 2K15, and it became the biggest week 1 in the series to date. Meanwhile, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer placed in 6th, with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 in 12th.
