Runner2 Sprints to PS4 on February 23, Includes Cross-Buy With PS Vita

Already available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is coming to PlayStation 4 on February 23 in North America and February 24 in Europe.

Featuring cross-buy with the PS Vita version, Runner2 on PS4 will be priced at $9.99. As an added bonus, Choice Provisions will be releasing the Good Friends Character Pack for free on PS4, with the Vita version of the DLC going free on February 23.

As Associate Producer Dant Rambo explained:

For those unfamiliar with the Good Friends Character Pack, it allows you to play Runner2 as one of several beloved game characters. The full roster includes Raz (Psychonauts), Quote (Cave Story), Dr. Fetus (Super Meat Boy), Josef (Machinarium), Spelunky Guy (Spelunky) and Invisible CommanderVideo. It’s a piece of DLC we’re really proud of, and we’re excited to be lowering the barriers to entry for everyone!

The sequel to 2010’s Bit.Trip Runner, Runner2 “takes the auto-running, rhythm-platformer gameplay of the first game and introduces it to a surreal, fantastical world,” where you can play as a drunk pickle and a guy with a cheeseburger for a head. You’ll also find five worlds, 120 levels, five boss battles, eight different characters, and secret areas to unlock new costumes.

With The Bit.Trip collection recently released, all entries in the Bit.Trip series will be available on PS4 and PS Vita as of February 23.
