Ahead of the Final Fantasy XV release date event tonight at 7pm PT/10pm ET, two trailers have leaked out, potentially revealing that a free new demo starring a young version of Noctis and the summon Carbuncle is set to arrive on March 31.
“A fun and free Final Fantasy XV for fans and first-timers alike,” the above video opens with. “Enter the dream of young Noctis. Uncover a tale untold in-game. Meet your new friend,” it adds.
According to a listing on Chinese Xbox Store, the demo will be 4.5GB. No details have been revealed for the demo in other regions.
In the second video, artwork from series illustrator Yoshitaka Amano is featured:
Along with Final Fantasy XV’s release date, tonight’s event will include “major announcements and surprises” and “all kinds of wonderful stuff never seen or heard before!” If you live in Europe, Square Enix says it’s “worth staying up for.”
