Following all this talk about David Hayter and the “Metal Gear debacle” recently, here’s some lighthearted Sunday news: the voice actor has returned as Snake but in Ford’s Metal Gear Solid commercials. It seems that the vehicle manufacturer has teamed up with Konami to release the following two videos.
“When the Colonel calls about the 2016 Ford Focus, you answer.”
“Psycho Mantis knows you want a 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium. Why argue?”
Hayter himself tweeted out the videos, claiming that Snake is back “and he’s driving a Ford.” Interesting.
As far as the “debacle” is concerned, Hayter recently clarified the comments he made a few weeks ago, explaining that he wants voice actors to be able to stand up for themselves and that he can stand up for himself in ways that other actors apparently can’t. You can read more on that here.
