Update:
Activision confirmed to VideoGamer that Infinite Warfare isn’t coming to PS3 or Xbox 360, and will only be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Original Story:
When Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was announced yesterday, Activision and Infinity Ward said it was coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4, but didn’t mention anything about last-gen consoles.
In response to a fan question asking “you will be Infinity Warfare on PS3?,” Infinity Ward replied, “No, it will not.”
Unlike Treyarch’s comment after the Black Ops 3 announcement last year that they were only working on the current-gen versions, Infinity Ward’s comment about Infinite Warfare seems to confirm that it isn’t coming to PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 at all, even through another developer.
If you plan on pre-ordering Infinite Warfare on PS4, Xbox One, or PC, you’ll receive 500 COD Points for use in Black Ops 3 by pre-ordering through a physical retailer before June 13. If you pre-order digitally through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Games Store, or Steam, you’ll receive 1,000 COD Points for Black Ops 3. There will also be a future offer where you receive an Infinite Warfare multiplayer pre-order bonus.
Are you surprised that Infinite Warfare isn’t coming to PS3?
