Following a plethora of complaints from Overwatch console players, Blizzard has announced that its defense hero Torbjorn is going to get nerfed on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (PC remains unchanged). “In an upcoming patch, we will reduce the damage done by Torbjorn’s turret by 30%,” wrote Game Director Jeff Kaplan in a Reddit thread.
The exchange was brought to light by Kotaku, who pointed out that PC players have the advantage of higher precision with a mouse and keyboard whereas for console players using gamepads, it can make the game imbalanced as Torbjorn ends up dominating, especially in defense roles.
Kaplan didn’t say when exactly the patch will release but it’s expected between mid to late July, depending on first party certification times.
In other Overwatch news, the game continues to appear in top charts, with the latest one being the May 2016 Digital chart where it’s said to gross $269 million across all platforms.
We’ll update our readers when a release date for the patch is announced.
