Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Ex edition

Report: Metal Gear Solid V “Definitive Ex” Edition Surfaces

Nothing has been announced, but it looks like Amazon UK has let a new game edition leak once again. As first discovered on Reddit, Amazon UK posted a preorder page for Metal Gear Solid V Definitive Ex edition. The listing has since been removed, but it was rather empty with no info other than a placeholder release date of December 31, 2016.

Speculation is running high that this Definitive Ex edition could include both Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Or perhaps it only consists of The Phantom Pain and all of the game’s DLC. Or perhaps all of the above.

Konami has not commented on this apparent leak.

Ground Zeroes was released in 2014, roughly a year before Phantom Pain, and it served as half prequel and half demo for the full Phantom Pain experience. However, Ground Zeroes had completely separate content from the game’s full release. Ground Zeroes produced mixed thoughts, whereas Phantom Pain performed well with both consumers and critics.
