To celebrate Minecon 2016 happening this weekend (September 24 and 25) at the Anaheim Convention Center, developer 4J Studios has released a free Minecon 2016 Skin Pack for Minecraft on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Since the download size is less than 2MB, support was likely added in game update 1.35 earlier this month.
You can grab the Minecon 2016 Skin Pack directly from the PlayStation Store in North America and Europe, though the PS Vita version doesn’t appear to be up in North America yet. The description says, “Are you ready for MINECON? This year, our celebratory skin-pack comes with four biome-themed adventurers and a mysterious Enderman cape. Swish!”
It remains to be seen how long the DLC will be offered for free, so get it while you can.
At Minecon 2016, 4J Studios will be hosting a panel titled ‘Coming Soon on Minecraft Console Editions’, where they’ll talk about what’s coming in the next update. The Saturday panel runs from 4:30pm PT – 5:30pm PT at the Expo Stage/Hall A, and could be included on the livestream.
